The panel explored key themes such as open collaboration, responsible AI development, and the future of public sector digital transformation.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1051\" data-end=\"1379\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The following day, Ornella led a hands-on workshop on <strong data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1149\">LLM-RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)<\/strong> during the Open Source AI Workshops. Her session brought together curious and engaged participants from across Switzerland and beyond, sparking insightful exchanges and practical experimentation with cutting-edge AI technologies.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1668\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Over the course of these two days, Ornella also had the opportunity to present the work of <strong data-start=\"1472\" data-end=\"1480\">SCAI<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1573\">iCoSys (Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems at HES-SO Fribourg)<\/strong> \u2014 two research environments that embody a commitment to open, collaborative, and impactful AI.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1670\" data-end=\"1876\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We congratulate Ornella on her inspiring contribution to this important event and thank the <strong data-start=\"1762\" data-end=\"1778\">#CHOpen team<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"1788\">#BFH<\/strong>, and all organizers for bringing together such a dynamic and forward-looking community.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-67ee7d5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-testimonial\" data-id=\"67ee7d5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"testimonial.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-testimonial-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-testimonial-content\">Open source reminds us that the future of AI should be built together \u2014 through collaboration, not competition. AI is a powerful innovation driver, and Switzerland should leverage its core values\u2014neutrality, security, and trust\u2014to define a clear strategy that protects fundamental rights while fostering innovation.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Federal Council&#8217;s recent AI regulation decision is a step forward but lacks urgency. Switzerland must show ambition and equip itself properly for this technological shift.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">AI is accelerating fast\u2014the future will be rock \u2019n\u2019 roll!<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f3816e elementor-widget elementor-widget-testimonial\" data-id=\"5f3816e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"testimonial.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-testimonial-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-testimonial-content\">At INFRAROUGE, we discussed AI research, innovation, education, certification, and regulation.
